Well what strange times we are living in now. Here we outline the working practices of Kinetics Sports Massage Therapy upon reopening clinic services post the Covid19 Lockdown period. This is in place to assure clients of the measures in place to protect your safety and the safety of the therapist. It also acts as a guide for what to expect when booking and attending an appointment.

I’m very pleased to announce that as of the 1st August we will be open and taking bookings back at Nuffield Health, Portsmouth. I’m so looking forward to welcoming you back!

As you’d expect I have put some additional measures in place in line with industry and government guidelines for your safety and mine. Some things have changed but my dedication to your care remains.

Can’t wait to see you. All availability is now online. To book head over to the bookings page: Bookings

Here are some things you can expect, as always feel free to call or email if you have any questions:

Once your booking is made:
After your booking is made you will be sent a form to complete prior to your appointment, this is to limit the amount of face to face contact time and to ensure I have all medical and covid-19 specific screening ahead of your arrival time. If we need to discuss any particular concerns I will arrange to speak to you prior to your session.

You will need to bring water if needed to your appointment, as I will be unable to provide refreshments.

I ask that you please wear a face mask to your appointment, if you don’t have one I will be able to supply you with one to wear throughout your treatment for a £1 charge. You will be able to remove the mask when lying prone (face down) on the massage couch . The wearing of masks in the clinic has now become a legal requirement as of the 8th August.

On the Day:
Upon entering the premises you will be temperature checked and shown to the waiting area. Please only bring a chaperone or legal guardian if necessary. This is to limit the risk of infection and to help with capacity. If you do require a chaperone they will be subject to the same processes as you.The clinic will be fully sanitised prior to your arrival. Extra time has been allowed between appointments to ensure cleaning and ventilation can be carried out.

You will be asked to sanitise your hands on entry. All linen and face cradles replaced for each client.

I will be wearing personal protective equipment and will be recording my own temperature daily.

Post Treatment:
You will need to be aware of my obligation to share your details should I be made aware of any cases of Covid19 within the clinic.

Appointments will be spaced further apart than usual to allow for a full clean.

Payments:
There is a new booking system in place that means payment can be made at the time of booking your appointment should you choose to do so. Contactless payment will be available on site.

If you need to pay with cash, please bring the correct money and I’ll have an envelope for you to place it in.

Cancellations:
I’ve decided that our 24 hour cancellation policy will for the moment be relaxed, but please ensure you let us know in plenty of time if you can if you are unable to make your appointment.

If you or a member of your household has developed a cough, fever, breathlessness, sore throat or headaches, before your treatment date, please contact me before your appointment so I can obtain further information from you and advise.

If you have any questions or need any advice don’t hesitate to get in touch!
